LBS Institute of Technology for Women Joins Hands with Orell


Team Oréll has implemented eShelf, the digital library at LBS Institute of Technology for Women- Thiruvananthapuram, one of the pioneering technology institutes in Kerala, on November 30, 2012.

As part of familiarizing eShelf and its umpteen features to the college staff, Mr. Vipin P Jospeh, the Business Development Manager of Oréll delivered a product demonstration and the installation was successfully completed by Mr. Aneesh K Murali, the Area Manager of Oréll Cochin.

Oréll eShelf is an offline virtual library, engineered to organize and manage informative materials of an institute in digital format. eShelf with its limitless storage capacity, offers a variety of contents including articles, books, audio/video etc, which are downloadable and are retrievable anytime. The text files in PDF formats are ready-to-print or saved offering optimum flexibility in usage.

By implementing eShelf, the user can browse and view e-books, save content for future use, author e-books/articles, post comments in the forum etc. Besides these, the administrator can register users, edit user list, control user-privileges, approve/reject e-content, monitor forum discussions etc.

LBS Institute of Technology for Women (LBSITW), Thiruvananthapuram is the second self financing Engineering College managed by LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram. LBSITW, which is a unique venture of the LBS Centre for Science and Technology and the Government of Kerala, started functioning during the academic year 2001-02. This AICTE approved college is affiliated to the University of Kerala and it envisages to make the institution a Centre of Excellence poised towards Women Empowerment in technical education.
